Recovery is understood in relation to the person’s own priorities, including relationships, daily activities and community participation. Coaching creates space to identify strengths, practise useful skills and plan around periods when support needs change. The coach can work alongside existing clinicians and community services with consent. The relationship supports the person’s decisions and practical progress while maintaining a clear boundary between coaching and clinical treatment.

Support may include

  • Recovery planning based on personal goals
  • Building daily living and self-management skills
  • Connecting with community and mental-health supports
  • Coordinating support during changes or setbacks
