Family and Domestic Violence Support

A specialist pathway for people experiencing family or domestic violence to access safety-focused support, advocacy and appropriate services.

Support begins by identifying a safe way to communicate and understanding the person’s priorities. Assistance may include practical advocacy, connections with specialist services and coordination around housing, legal or social support. Safety decisions are guided by appropriately skilled practitioners. Information is shared only under the relevant consent and legal arrangements, with particular care where contact, disclosure or a joint meeting could increase risk.

Support may include

  • Connection with specialist safety planning and advocacy
  • Supported referrals to relevant legal, housing and social services
  • Practical assistance within an agreed specialist service arrangement
  • Coordination that protects confidentiality and safety
