Psychology services begin with an assessment suited to the referral and the person’s circumstances. The psychologist explains the proposed approach, expected review process and any limits on the work. Treatment or assessment is undertaken within the practitioner’s professional scope. Communication with other services and preparation of reports are agreed with the client, including consent, purpose and any additional fees.

Support may include

  • Assessment of emotional and psychological concerns
  • An agreed treatment plan and therapeutic sessions
  • Strategies to support functioning and wellbeing
  • Liaison and reports where appropriate and consented
