Counselling

A confidential space to discuss personal challenges, recognise strengths and work towards goals that matter to you.

Mental Health & Families
Person in a one-to-one counselling session talking with a therapist in a calm, comfortable office, both faces fully visible during an empathetic supportive conversation

Counselling offers time to explore concerns without assuming that every person needs the same approach. Sessions are guided by the client’s priorities and the practitioner’s competence. Together, the client and practitioner identify goals, consider useful strategies and review whether the support is helping. The practitioner explains confidentiality and its limits, and discusses referral when another form of support would better meet the client’s needs.

Support may include

  • Support with stress, adjustment, grief and relationships
  • Developing coping and problem-solving strategies
  • Goal-focused individual sessions
  • Referral to specialist care when needs fall outside the agreed scope
