Housing support focuses on the practical tasks involved in finding and maintaining a suitable tenancy. Assistance may include organising information for applications, communicating with relevant agencies and developing routines for household responsibilities. Work is coordinated with specialist housing services where needed. The service can help with preparation and referrals, but cannot promise a dwelling, a rental approval or payment of ordinary living expenses.

Support may include

  • Assistance with applications and housing referrals
  • Developing tenancy and household management skills
  • Planning routines for sustaining accommodation
  • Liaison with housing agencies and relevant support providers
